Helping to raise funds for charity Spifox

Find out how the distillery has helped to raise money for Charity Spifox, where all monies raised by Spifox is donated to charities which support children and young adults in Scotland. 

Fundraising for Spifox enables beneficiaries to either purchase equipment and/or to provide facilities to assist them in better performing their function of care and support.

The distillery worked with Spifox to offer branded gins featuring their own artwork which decorated 5cl miniatures and full sized 70cl bottles filled with one of our award winning gins (and distilled using premium organic alcohol) - each bottle promotes the charity and helps to raise money for charity.

How can branded gins for charities actually help to raise money?  Well firstly, we offer branded gins (for charities) at our lowest price, and then the bottles can raise money by participating in...

• Raffles
• Competitions
• Silent auctions
• Goodie bags to help with reciprocal generosity (miniatures)
• Off sale purchases e.g. shop, bar etc.
• On sale purchases e.g. G&T's / cocktails e.g. bar, hotel, restaurant

We also offer raffle prizes e.g. vouchers for our Discovery Tour, for charity orders over 100 miniatures to help put the fun into fundraising and raise as much as possible for worthy causes.

Spifox is organising a fundraising event taking place at the Marcliff on the 24th September and we wish them all the luck and thank them for inviting us to collaborate and help give children / young people a better future.

How do charity gins work?

At the City of Aberdeen Distillery, like other businesses, we love to support local registered charities and the way we traditional did this was by donating Discovery Tour vouchers / Aberdeen Gins.  There's one problem with this approach - while we'd love to donate to every charity who humbly asks for a donation, it's not something that sustainable long term (as a small business). 

However, we have a much better solution (and way more symbiotic) that enables the charity to raise money all year round.

What are branded gins?  A branded gin is where you can choose a gin from our range and have a custom label applied that features your company / charity branding.

For charities, they receive a better price so that they make money with each sale that can go directly into supporting their worthy cause all year round.  In this scenario, and for orders of over 100 miniatures, we can also be more generous and donate additional raffle prizes to make sure we help raise as much funds as possible.
