Competition terms and conditions

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) are supplemental to and should be read in conjunction with any specific entry instructions or terms applying to a specific competition (“Competition Information”). In the event of inconsistency, these Terms shall prevail.

Failure to comply with the Competition Information or these Terms may result in disqualification. These Terms apply to all competitions run by City of Aberdeen Distillery Ltd (“COAD”) across print, online, events, or social media.

Eligibility

Exclusions: Employees and immediate family members of COAD or associated sponsors are not eligible to enter.
Residency: Unless stated otherwise, entry is restricted to residents of the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Age: Competitions are open to individuals aged 18 or over only. Proof of age may be requested at the time of entry.
Identity: COAD reserves the right to require proof of identity. Failure to provide this, or providing misleading info, may lead to disqualification.

Entry Requirements

Frequency: Unless stated, entrants may make as many entries as they wish, provided original entry forms are used where applicable.
Costs: Competitions are free to enter (no purchase necessary), though standard network or postage charges may apply.
Submission: COAD accepts no responsibility for lost, delayed, or damaged entries. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
Deadlines: Closing dates are specified in the Competition Information. Winners will typically be notified within 28 days of the closing date.

Prizes & Winners

Third-Party Prizes: Prizes may be provided by sponsors. COAD is not responsible for the accuracy of third-party prize descriptions.
No Cash Alternative: Prizes are subject to availability. No cash alternatives or transfers are permitted. COAD reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
Notification: If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within a reasonable period, COAD reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

Liability & Law

COAD is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the competition, except in cases of death or personal injury caused by negligence. Liability is limited to a maximum of £50.

Applicable Law: These Terms are governed by Scottish Law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
