Aberdeen Gin - Citrus Delight

Citrus Delight Gin is a proudly flavoured gin.  We tripled our usual quantity of Juniper and distilled it with 22 other botanicals (each at high levels) resulting in a sublime juniper-citrus-forward London Dry Gin (42%).

When mixed with your preferred mixer, it may appear cloudy - this is because of the sheer amount of flavour oils that have been distilled, especially from the citrus - it boasts Fresh Orange, Fresh Lemon, Fresh Lime, Fresh Grapefruit and Lime leaves too.  This is a rebellious gin, for true citrus lovers - it's certainly not shy.

Typically a gin is served 1 part gin to 3 parts tonic (or alternative mixer). It's always a bit of a risk diluting a gin any further, certainly for commercial gins, due to the risk of overdiluting the flavour (and just tasting the mixer).  Citrus Delight to the rescue - you can easily mix this 1:4 for even 1:5 and still have plenty of flavour - meaning bigger drinks whilst enjoying alcohol even more responsibly.  We've all been in that situation where we've had that last quarter of mixer left to go flat in the bottle - that's just waste - now you can enjoy your mixer without fear of ruining your gin-experience.

Though often is the case that gins require balance - citrus in this case is providing many of the high notes, so in order to balance the range of flavours, the recipe provides a counterbalance by way of rich complexity through a selection of teas e.g. earl grey tea & rosehips, berries e.g. sloe berries, and a Turkish delight flavour of rose petals.
