Essential event information - Gin School Experience
It won't be long now before you are discovering something exciting in the heart of Aberdeen... in the meantime, please review these tips for an enjoyable time:
Arrival time
Please arrive up to 15 minutes prior to the event so we may prepare your welcome drink and start the tour on time.
Mixer preference
On arrival we’ll ask for your mixer preference for your welcome drink and any subsequent samples. Choices include:
- Fever Tree Light Tonic water (recommended)
- Fever Tree Light Lemonade
- Fever Tree Soda water
Soft drinks and water are available for those not consuming alcohol.
Duration
The event lasts for approximately 2.5 hours.
Note: Events often overrun by up to 30 minutes. Please allow for this extra time if planning subsequent activities like taxis or restaurant reservations.

We are located at railway arch #10, next to Sweet Mumma's Kitchen café (one arch before the bridge).
Age restrictions
The minimum age for attending the Gin School Experience is 18.
The minimum age for consuming alcohol is 18.
We operate "Challenge 25." Please bring accepted ID to avoid being limited to non-alcoholic alternatives.
Safety & Comfort
We have retained the arch's historic floor. We strongly recommend wearing suitable footwear and avoiding high heels for your comfort and safety.
Preparation Checklist
- ✓ Avoid strong fragrances: Attendees will be invited to assess the delicate aromas of botanicals and spirits.
- ✓ Special Requirements: If you have accessibility needs or allergies, please contact us prior to the event.
- ✓ ID: Remember your physical identification card.
Collection Service
If you intend to carry on celebrating after the event, you may leave any distillery purchases or your special bottle of gin with us for collection later in the day / next day. Alternatively, we can post your purchases to your home address (UK only) which is free of charge for orders over £75, otherwise a delivery fee applies. We can also delay postage until you return from your trip. Ask for more details.
