Essential event information - Gin School Experience

It won't be long now before you are distilling your very own unique gin in a railway arch as trains rumbling overhead...in the meantime, please review tips for an enjoyable time:

Arrival time

Please arrive up to 15 minutes prior to the event so you may collect a refreshing Gin and Tonic (or non-alcoholic alternative) and to help us start the tour on time.

How long is the event and what does it involve?

The event is approximately 3 hours.

Where is the distillery?

The distillery is located at a railway arch (#10) on Palmerston Road, next to Sweet Mumma's cafe (it's one arch before the bridge).

For more information on getting here - see our guide

We have retained the arch's historic floor - we recommend you wear suitable foot wear and avoid high heeled footwear.  Safety goggles and aprons are available on request.

You must be 18 or over to gain entry to the distillery - if you are lucky enough to look under 25, we may ask for proof of age e.g. driving licence.

What can I do to prepare for the event?

We'll be on hand to help you on the day to create your own gin.

You'll need to put your thinking cap on because your wonderful creation will need a name!

If you have any special requirements e.g. accessibility or allergies - please get in touch prior to the event.

Please avoid wearing fragrances - it will make it difficult for you and others to choose botanicals.

Bring a proof of age in case asked.

I have another question - where can I find more information?

Take a look at our Tour FAQ's - if you don't find the answer please get in touch.
